who is running an oil cooler on their e30m30

just as the title says how many of you have an oil cooler? If you do, from what model and how hard was it to mount up to the motor and where did you position the cooler? My m30 doesn't have a cooler and I want one b/c my m20 has one and i auto-x my car so its good to have it.

    I don't yet - e30.de says that the cooler and lines from a e30 m3 will work - HTH

Custom coolers will fit just about anywhere and doing the lines will be easy. You can use one from an E30 M3 if you can find one, or you can snag one from pretty much anything that uses an oil cooler and just make custom lines with metric fittings or AN fittings. I'll sell you a good cooler from my old Euro 635CSi if you want, it's pretty big and it comes with lines... Don't know if they will fit the E30 though.

hhhmm...would you happen to have the oil filter housing also or is it on your m30 now? Do you think you could send me pics of it. It's not a neccessary thing right now but I do want one eventually

and ya I search s14.net everyday looking for a cooler, and for a good 5 lug to pop up. I was hoping another bmw cooler would fit too.

I think I have an extra oil filter housing from when I built my 335i... I'll take a look today and take some pictures if I find it.

JB Racing makes an oil cooler adapter for the filter housing for M30's. You may want to check that out.

You can also check to see what the e28 guys are running.

Isn't there a s14 remote oil filter that you can plumb in as well?

The oil canister has a couple scratches now just from maneuvering and stuff.

M3 Oil Cooler and Lines, the oil cooler has a minor dent in the middle.

Cool, where's it say Alpina? I had one that looked like that on my Alpina equipped 635CSi Euro but didn't say Alpina.

Well the only cars i've seen this thing on are stock Alpina 335i's. So i guess i just assumed. But let me know who wants to buy it, i'd like to get rid of them soon.
