It seems i have parts from just about every 80s Bmw there is for my swap.. Motor from an e23, trans and harness from an e24, clutch/PP from an e28, and my e30...anyway which harness is best to use for the motor? My stock harness or the harness from the e24.. the e24 was an 87 635csi w motronic 1.1. I really want to get away with cutting and splicing as little as i can b/c wiring is my worst subject as far as auto mechanics go. If you used the stock harness what did you do to hook it up. If you used a different harness how did you adapt it to the e30 fuse box? and how hard is it to change the engine plug?
Who is running what engine harness

THE C101 plug is the plug on the engine right? where you would hook up a diagnosis machine? How did you hook the engine harness up to ya fuse box?Comment

88 E32 Manual Harness in the 86 E30, just because I like the plastic cover over the injectors and no need to move or lengthen any of the connectors... Also the m20 harness doesn't have the pulse connector for the #6 spark plug wire for the later M30's.'86 E30

I used the M30 harness, but if I did it again, I would look into using the M20 harness. It was just difficult finding the *correct* diagrams for my application. (87 M20i, and 88 M30 3.5 are both freak parts for those years, so most manuals and references don't have the correct diagrams.)Joe Funk -- Portland Oregon
