I am putting the S38 in my E30 M3, but need to swap the coolant parts off of the M88 for more space in the engine comp. Does anyone know of the exact parts that need to be swapped? I have tried to search with no luck.

Basically the entire thermostat housing is too large to clear the passenger side frame rail.. You can either swap on the M88 parts as you stated, or notch the frame rail about 1/4 inch to clear properly (which is my plan)
If you pull up realoem, and grab the M88 specs (euro m5/m635/m6) you can see all the parts required.

I don't know which parts need to be swapped, but I have an M88, and can put something together...
