2 Questions: Throttle Bracket, E36 Rack

    Throttle cable bracket:

In Jared's guide he mentions that you need to pick up an m30 throttle cable bracket as the E30 one will not fit. I'm assuming I use the E30 throttle cable with an M30 bracket. Does anyone have any pictures of how the throttle cable setup should look? part #?

    E36 Rack:

The tolerances between the oil pan and the steering rack are apparently quite tight. Has anyone done both the M30 swap and the E36 rack swap successfully? I want to put the E36 rack in but don't want to have a problem fitting the engine in.

    Thanks guys!

if you read through the e36 rack swap thread in the DIY section I think it has some info in there as to which one is the best to use. I think it was the m3 rack because it was smaller but I could definetly be wrong.

The e36 rack should fit w no problems. The issue w the e36 racks is that you have to modify the steering knuckle for it to work.

I can tell you hopefully within the next month 100% sure...I'm thinking that it'll be just fine.

If it doesn't fit, I'll be upset.

same. I know that they are thicker than the e30 racks but I think someone has already tested it and it fit.

It's a lot easier to pull the rack when there is no engine. If anyone can confirm 100% it will fit it will put all our minds at ease.

I've confirmed that the E36 rack with M30 engine combo does work with a fellow M30'er
