Dimmensions of 3.5 mounts

Can someone give me the dimensions of the motor mounts to put a m30b35 in an e30? I have a friend with a cnc machine and was interested in making my own. I would like the ones where I can position it in position 3.

I've always wondered....Can't you just weld the M30 mounts to the m20 mounts with some steel and slice-n-dice action?
