what is the drivetrain on a 325i or 318? FWD or RWD?

fwd but with the transmission in the back for better cooling. the driveshaft connects to the front of the car. Now, the 84 and 92 are RWD and rarely AWD.

so if i was suppose 2 pick up a 86 or 89 325i or 325es they are FWD?

all bmws are rwd w a few "ix" or "xi" being awd....front wheel drive is sacrilage in bmw's eyes...only for the mini
