help, turn the key and it stops cranking before i release.

hey guys sorry for the long title but ive got my swap done, everythings great, everything works, but im having an intermittent startup.\

i turn the key as if im going to start the car and as im holding the key, the power quits on me causing me to try again....this is slowly getting worse and worse and i'm ready to throw in a new ignition switch...

anyone agree with my diagnosis? any other ideas, past experiences????
