hey i was wondering what the hp/tq specs are on my m30 from a 1983 533 with the light weight fly and the 278 camshaft..... i also heared if you remove the cat it will free things up and have more power? any advice would be great thanks.

US spec M30B32s were rated at 184hp (or 181 depending on the source. Maybe true for the post4/84 533is with the 260 cam) and 195ft/lbs. In Europe and maybe Canada the B32 was supposed to have 200hp and like 210-215ft/lbs. Up to 4/1984 the B32 had the lightweight flywheel and the 272 cam from the factory, but after that date they got the standard flywheel and the 260 cam that the US spec B34 got. I always thought an early B32 would be sweet in an E30 simply because they LOVE to rev, so much more so than other M30s.
