Which Brake Setup is This?

does anyone know what car this could be from?
Its not from a 540i. Hint see how it mount to the firewall?
RealoEM refrence to how 540i stuff mounts.

Update checked Both 7 and 8 series doesnt look lke its from them either. since they use the hydro-boost system.

Are you talking about the remote slave cylinder reservoir on the firewall, its a 530 item. The brake reservoir looks like it might be the same, but the entire mount setup is custom I'm guessing.

ive looked @ 530's both RHD and LHD they both look the same as the 540's.

I dont thint its custom.
maybe from a different car non bmw?

I have numerous 7's and 5's in the junkyard that I work at and most of the later V8's have that setup.

nope its not the same.

if u look closesly, there is 2 pivot points on the 7 and 5's whiles on this setup its only one.

brake setup

undertaking an m60 conversion myself, that is a modified e34540i bracket on the firewall. theres a couple of ways to utilise that original setup. fairly easy if you can weld. I did my whole setup for under $300 heres a photo of my version. not perfect yet, but it will get there!!! :bow:
