alright, I have noticed that RealOem pics just don't look right. Have ordered stuff and has come out right though. I'll look at s14.net. Mine is the regular 318i's cut in half, turned around and welded back on..yea that might break.

That doesn't look right to me, I'd just hit up s14.net. I think I got my for $25 shipped.

    Hey George,
I am looking maybe to get alittle more stable of a tranny mount, mine was custom welded by the PO.
Would this give the right Part # M3 tranny mount you used?
    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...80&hg=23&fg=10

I'm guessing there was only 1 M3 tranny mount used but let me know. Thanks

Edit: I really appreciate you putting a helpful pic up! BTW are you using the m20 power steering pump with m30 bracket or whole m30 ps assembly?
No the ears are perfectly angled to the tranny mount. I am using the M30 PS pump. Other than that - it's plug and play.

    ^my car.....

    The E30M3 tranny mount is a perfect mount with a e30 m30 with a G265.

See above - that is an m30 in an e30 with a G265....It's my car. Perfect fit - So, I kinda know....

    So - there it is....

My M30 transmission in question came from a 1981 633csi.

    Here you go robert, http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref....5731&showus=on

    Edit: Pics of said member.

I could remove the other bush from the cross member but that bastard on the left wouldnt come undone with my 250 ft/lbs 1/2" gun on it, so its on TIGHT!. Both bushes were there though, you can see the outline of the other one.

Well a member from Australia has found the cross member pictured above with a part number and I have ordered one from the dealer. $25 and they surprisingly have about 21 in stock at the local distribution center in Ontario.

I will pick it up next week and see where that takes us.

I think we have one that might be available for test fitting. We'll make a move after that.

Can you not source a e30 m3 mount?

Nope, your wrong, I just tried the E21 323 cross member and its not wide enough and it mount pedestal hits the rear case of the transmission.

Looks like a custom mount is the only way to go at this point. Oh well.

Would still like that mount above, I just can't find it on real oem.

Just bend a piece of metal and drill holes, it shouldn't be too hard.

EDIT: Doesn't work. Doesn't clear the rear of the tranny.

I used a stamped steel 6 series crossmember and hogged out the holes into ovals. Other than that there were no modifications...

As for the mount above, it looks like the standard post '83 E28 and E24 crossmember. Post a WTB ad on www.mye28.com

I looked at the M3 cross member and that has the mount sitting at an angle, I need the mount to be flat or do I also need to by the rear trans mount also?

I have 2 brand new poly mounts and if I could just find out what the mount is above in the picture I would be golden.

Yet no one seems to have a answer. Don't mean to rag, but I have this damn E30 right in the way with no solution to mount the trans, surely you would understand my frustration.
