So you used the end piece off a 265 but used stock m20 linkage? Interesting...thanks for the help.Leave a comment:

I didn't use the plate version - I use the m20 one, but the end I used the connector off the g265.I need to find myself an m3 crossmember as well. George graves...you were right, experience wins. My crossmember sucks. Where can I find one of these, besides s14.net?
Oh and how the fuck did you use late model shift linkage with the old style shifter plate? I is confused.
I shortened both pieces an inch or two.

Nevermind about the crossmember, apparently it's only 21.00 from the dealership.
Still, some light about the shift linkage would be nice.Leave a comment:

I am also using this transmission and I am currentlylooking for a e30 m3 cross member.
But my question is which parts did you use for the shifter? Were you able to use all of the stock e30 parts or did you use parts from a 535 or other car?Leave a comment:

Plus one on the e30 m3 tranny mount - I feel much safer with it controlling front to back movements on the drive train - it is a very sold mount - despite the fact that the part is feels like cheep "pot" aluminum.Leave a comment:

Not quite yet...
Thanks for the heads up on my wallet getting thinner. I can barely see it now.Leave a comment:

We found that exact mount at the junkyard today so we bought it. Its to wide to fit the E30 chassis. You would have to cut it in the center and shorten it about about 1.5".
I have to assume you haven't done your swap yet.Leave a comment:

I was looking at those pictures and thought they looked familiar. That's MY tranny and engine!
Sorry I was gone so long, and couldn't help!Leave a comment:

Well we got the tranny mount issue solved. We ended up using a crude sheetmetal mount from a 5 series automatic. Its the rear style mount with just one mount. This will get us by until we can find something more appropriate.
George, thank you for your assistance with the M3 mount. It has been a bit confusing and I have to admit this swap has turned into a bit more work then I was expecting, but custom stuff is never easy.
Part of the issue we where having is that we have 2 brand new AKG poly urethane tranny mounts and would like to use them. All the mounts including the M3 put the mounts at a angle... At least from the Real OEM views. I understand these are not always correct but without seeing the mount in person its hard to determine.
In the near future we will revisit this issue but for the time being the mount problem is solved.
As a note I also found the original mount that I made this thread about and also madhatter had also posted the part number. I ordered it from the dealer, and the mounts are placed at a angle and we would have to use the factory rubber mounts for that application. Again, we would like to keep the brand new poly mounts.
Thanks again to everyone who responded in kind to help.Leave a comment:
