    Urgent Help..Funkmasta's mounts

I have a pair of funkmasta's mounts and I am installing at the moment.

I have one that goes completely in but the other is to the passenger side too much. The holes line up but the it wont go back far enough.

    Any suggestions??

Is it still hanging there like that?

First thing I see is the rubber mounts look kinda thrashed, and what are they off of? They don't look like M20 mounts. The studs don't seem to be centered in the mount.

Also, once when I was dropping in my M20, I engaged the stud on the drivers side first and then found the same situation, the passenger side was too far over and would not drop down. I pulled the engine back up and started the passenger side first, and the drivers side went much easier.

I discussed it with Joe and bought some M20 mounts from him.

The mounts are off of an M42 (I think), this was an 318. Also I'm to the point that I need this done and I'm running out of patience also. Bav Auto down the street it going to charge me $160 to put the motor/tranny in and inspect the entire car to tell me what else I should definately repolace, I might just go with it.

        Thanks for the help

You haven't even got the engine installed and your running out of patience?

Your screwed. I don't think you understand the depth of the swap you are undertaking.

Better pony up on the patience, cause your going to need a lot more of it before your swap is done.

You still have driveshaft, trans mounts, electrical wiring, radiator and cooling system. Your still a long ways from home.

Good Luck with it. I have been a part of a M30 swap and its more involved then it appears.

Check to see if the transmission is hanging up on something, that's the first place I'd look. It looks like you have the correct oil pan and whatnot, so just take your time, double check everything, and keep trying. Check the back of the cylinder head too, the B34 has a little water manifold on the back that can get caught on the firewall.

Your biggest help will be to get a friend to regulate the hoist, and a manly prybar (at least 24", 36 or 48 is better).

Yea, I know and maybe the correct rubber mounts. The car goes in on wednesday. I had a lot of patience, started this last summer and have waited on a ton of things that normally I wouldn't but this needs to be done this summer and my summer ends on sept. 16.
