B34 swap guys....vaccum for brake booster?

As i was dissembling my b35 parts motor i noticed the intake manifold has a vaccum port that can hook up to the booster while the b34 intake manifold does not since they used the hydraulic "bomb" setup.

So guys that have dropped in the b34 motors, what did you do about this? I dont really see anywhere else it can get vaccum from.

    TIA!

    Drill and tap the outlet.

AFAIK e28 b34 has hydarulic booster while e34 b34 has vacuum booster(at least my e34 has).

i drilled and tapped a hole directly in the bottom of the plennum seeing as how its is a large flat area, then i tapped the hole, put a fitting in and hose clamped a hose on the other end.

i was stumped just the same as you at first

I used a vacuum port on the bottom of the intake manifold... insufficient, but it worked. We since installed a b35 motor...

yeah those seemed way to small to me. I think drilling a hole is fine as long as you clean everything really well after wards and you drill it when its off the car obviously.

Not all of us can swap motors when ever we want ;)

Ugh....i just bolted up my purdy manifold just the other day. Looks like it'll be coming off this weekend.

Funkmasta, you used those Tinny vaccum ports @ the bottom of the intake maniofld for vaccum assist? did it work @ all?
