E28 Auto Radiator in M30 Swap...

No experience with this one but just wondering...

The E28 Automatic radiator has extra ports that were for ATF (transmission cooling) I believe, so is there a way to plumb lines and rig that section as an Oil Cooler?

Again, no idea if it would work, but its a cool thought...

You could always find a used E30 M3 oil cooler...but this might work well too.

I have no idea how much pressure those sections are rated for, but if they could withstand 50-80psi I wouldn't see any problem using them for oil cooling.

I'm using an e28 auto radiator, I'll be just plugging the inlet and outlet pipes though. I wouldn't bother running a engine oil cooler, I think that BMW over engineered the oil cooler - not needed for street use e30's IMO.

Thanks for the comments guys. I may look into it alittle more and see what kind of pressure they can withstand.
