    Engine & starter of e34 B35 Automatic.
    Flywheel of an e23 733i
    Getrag 265 of an e23 733i

Which clutch kit is the right one ?

i think they're all the same for the 260/5 260/6 and 265. I know at least the 260/5 and 260/6 are the same, because I ordered the wrong one from Steve Haygood on mye28 ad he told me they're the same.

I can only assume the 265 has the same clutch kit because it would make sense, but then again bmw likes to change things to make my life miserable so don't take my word on it.

You can use a 533/633/733 clutch, a 535/635/735 clutch, or even an M5 or M6 clutch I believe. They will all bolt up.

        The clutch-disc that came off e23 733i was :
        SACHS # 21 21 1 223 124
It has 6 puck sprung ( spelling?)

The pressure plate off e23 733i was stamped: Type MF 240
        7 degree 93/9
        Fischtel & Sachs AG
        Schweinfurt

        I guess i'll go with e23 733i clutch kit?
I've been wondering if the starter (e34 B35 auto) will be compatible.

It will, that's the same starter/flywheel I have.

          edit, I have a e34 5spd starter

In general, use the clutch kit suited to the flywheel you are using.

            I'm using a e24 flywheel on my e34 m30 with G265, e24 clutch kit worked fine.
