k, so i have an 86 eta, and after about 8 months of reading and reading and more reading about swaps and turbos, the m30 swap is definitly what i want in my car. now my question is, i have an e12 528i that was given to me. automatic, and it has some rust. other than that the car runs amazingly. would i be foolish to pull the jetronic motor from that car and attempt putting that motor in my e30. or is something like that doable and worthwhile. ......btw, i really like the e12, so someone should give me some reason not to take that car off the road.

I think there is a possible stroker in the works with a m30B28 block with B35 crank and rods, i was going to put a m30b30 from a bavaria in mine 87 eta due to car being rusted out, But traded whole car for a good b35. I think the m30b28 would also be cool to put th b35 pistons in have a shorter stroke and the larger bore, add some billet rockers, custom camshaft and rev it to 8k, with 15-20 psi ,ha ha ha

Plus, Jetronic is a pain! I was so happy to get rid of my l-jet m20b23 in favor of the latter Motronic 1.3 m30b35.
From the very beginning aim to get a m30b35, chasing oil pans and pumps for the b34 just seems silly to me.///Monstrosity. (OO≡≡[][]≡≡OO)

I also have an 79 e12 528i with a large hole in the frame, that needs a clutch in the worse way. So i was also tossing around the idea of swapping this motor into an e30. I love the E12 and i dont want to get rid of it at all, but one the 335 is done so i don't really need the e12, 2 the frame, and 3 i could use the money right now.
so are there any write ups or anyone who has done this??? The stroker seems like an awesome idea and i would def keep the motor around to do that in the future! It only has 95K miles on it!
So i guess what im saying is, if anyone has any info please post, if anyone is interested in the car or the motor please let me know. It runs and drives (carefully cause of the clutch) but even with that it still runs great!
Sorry to kinda thread jack, but i mean i would really like to know more as well!
