    Think about swaping

    Hi guys. I own a e34 will a m30 motor. I got t boned a month ago. So I was planing on selling my e34 butI just got an e30 ans i was wondering if it was going to be a hard swap.

      I'd call it an easy swap overall. Once you have the mounts it's no harder than installing an m30 in a 5, 6, or 7 series. There are a few things you will encounter along the way but nothing that is really difficult.

        I took 2 weeks off work to do the swap... Though I did make my own engine and transmission mount brackets.

        If you buy the brackets, either funks or .de ones, 2 weeks should be plenty of time IMO.

          Two weeks at once sounds pretty good, were you in the garage 10 hours a day?

          It took me about 6 weeks to swap the B35 into my E24, but I worked mostly on weekends and there were one or two where I got very little done because I had parts in transit.

          My 335i swap took around 5 months, but I didn't have a job... My only income was ebay! :pimp:

            Thats the way to do it! Parting out your e32/e34 is a great way to finance your whole swap.

              DO IT. took me about two weeks and i love it. its been perfect for daily and autoX if i could only withstand the itch to turbo.
