    Just to confirm....and some findings.

    Even though its a little too late, I've already sent out my swap driveshaft to-be (E28 front/E30 rear) for new U-joints and balancing but I still wanted to ask if it should it work with funkmastas B34 mounts the Getrag 260?

    I measured the e30 and e28 front halves and the e28 front half is a few mm longer but I didn't think it would be major.

    I also noticed something else that should be taken into account when doing driveshaft measuring..The trans output flange. The e28 output shaft stuck out an inch or 2 while the e34 flange was "normal". I sold my e28 transmission but I have a picture. I will take a pic of my e34 flange for comparison.

    The e34 flange is much more closer to the rear to the transmission and doesn't stick out that far which i would think would play an important role in driveshaft selection.

    Well lol nobody seemed intersted so I didn't bother taking pics of the E34 flange. However, with funkmasta's B34 mounts, and a E34 G260 an E28 front and E30 rear driveshaft mix fits perfectly with no shortening needed. I was quite pleased.

      Good to know! Are you right up against the firewall?

        Against the factory firewall yes.

        Against the "overmassaged" Firewall, I have a few MM of clearance.

            good to know that this combo works

            i used an e28 trans and funks mounts and ended up having to shorten the e28 Driveshaft by about 3/4 of an inch

            good to see another b34 swap
