    is it a good price?

My local junyard has a 90 735i sitting in it. has a M30B35 which i have been eager to find. They want $500 for it but can not verify milage.
It seems like a good price but for no milage and no warrenty I was just wondering what you guys think. I'll probably hook up a battery and read the display since it is still intact with the computer.

Also, what else should I be grabing from the car for a swap? Thanks
    btw, I'm swapping my '90 325iS

$500 for the engine or the car?

    I paid $850 for a 91 E34 manual w/ 300k - working condition.

      Wait until half-off day?

500 sounds like too much for a motor with no history. However, M30s are more or less bulletproof.

How does the rest of the car look, you can tell a little about how the car was maintained by that, any oil leaks that you can see? M30s don't really break.

I just got a B35 at a local yard for $120 and it's in good shape. If you don't have any other options it might be a decent deal, but I'd keep looking.

the car is in great condition aside from the damage ensued at the yard. I sat in the car and the rear seats looked like they were never used.
Guess i'll wait for a beter deal.

can't get you tips unless you reveal what city you're in.
get on Crazedlist.com ! You're in a large state w/ many people! Buy an e32/e28 and yank the motor, then part the car out and turn yourself a profit!! Spend said profit on custom mounts! Take your lady out for dinner! Or Dairy Queen!

Very well said. I got my e32 for 300 bucks, and made probably 4x that on ebay parting it.
