Swapping to B35 Oil Pan / Pump

Hello guys. I'm getting ready to swap my B34 pan for a B35 and just had a few questions.

The B35 and B34 oil pump sprockets have different part numbers so I wasn't sure which one to use. I also know that the chains are different between the B35 and the B34 (B35 chain is slightly longer) because the B35 had a tensioner. My question is this: do I need to swap sprockets around and or change the chain?

I was also digging around and found some info that says you only have to change the oil pickup on the B34 pump to the B35 style pickup. Obviously that would be the easiest solution but I was just looking for some confirmation. I just wanted to make sure I had all the parts I needed to put it back together in one weekend.

Just curious what you guys did.

    Thanks in advance,
    Brian

I just used the early sprocket on my B35 pump. I kept the chain and sprocket in place while I did the swap. I have also heard you can just swap the pickups but I've never done that so I don't have any specific details. It sounds pretty simple though.

Well it has been confirmed. B35 oil pickup on a B34 pump is a go. Saved me a ton of time as well. I can post pictures if anyone is interested. Thanks for the tips.
