    Fuel Leak!

    1991 318iS

Based on the photo, any guesses what exactly is the source of this leak?

I replaced all the injector o-rings and the the two short hoses back in February when I removed the intake manifold to fix the 'hose mess'.

Any guesses what's causing this leak? There's a pool of gas just to the right of injector #3.

Could be all the stuff you mentioned. Most likely where the injector meets the fuel rail. Connect all the hoses injectors etc and cycle the ignition key on and off a few times WITHOUT starting the engine. The fuel pump will cycle on and off enough to prime the system. The leak should reveal itself.

except he just replaced those. what makes you think they're bad again? are the injectors all properly seated in the rail and manifold?

They seemed hard enough to remove. I had only replaced the o-rings where the injector connects to the fuel rail, not the ones at the tip of the injector.

I had the injectors cleaned by a specialist who replaced those o-rings, so we'll see if this fixes everything up.

Look over the rail itself for any cracks? like where the lines go into it.

I had a leak in the same spot one time ended up being a cracked injector.
I think I broke it taking intake manifold apart previously. I ended replacing all the injectors, hoses and rail.
You said yours were checked so hopefully there good.
          Good luck

Definitely a cracked fuel rail :(

              Fucking hell.

Buddy hooked me up with a fuel rail, no leak @ the rail anymore, but now it's pissing fuel like no tomorrow at the inlet to the fuel filter. The filter is 5 months old and I replaced the hose going into it (new clamps too) and its still pissing gas.
