    Found Coolant in Oil!!!!!!

Recently went to check the oil and found coolant in there. What are some key spots that usually might be the first places to fail on the M42 that might cause this to happen? Do you guys have any suggestions on which places I should look first so I don't go too deep and realize I didn't need to go so far?

Look forward to the input. Thanks fellas.

Headgasket would be my first bet, in this time of year I highly doubt a cracked block.

Well the engine has been rebuilt. My father and I made it our project. We are checking water pump o-ring, head gasket and profile gasket.

Are you sure it's coolant and not just condensation?

If you just finished the build, you could have some condensation built up from being open in the humidity. If you aren't already I'd recommend changing the oil periodically to get rid of the junk that might be in there.

Also, check that you have a good lower pan seal and that there aren't any leaks, if you leak oil out, water can find it's way in. This was a problem on my m42.

How would the waterpump get coolant in the oil? Is that due to the m42 waterpump design?
