    318iS Turbo problems

Hi guys. I just bought an E30 318iS turbo, and it has got a shitload of problems. Or challenges, as I like to think of them

My pistonrings are shot and needs replacing
Oil is coming out from the head, and going into an empty cola bottle, though theres no blue smoke.
There is a quite strong smell of petrol from the oil
There is a massive oil leak somewhere, but hard to see as the whole engine is covered in oil.
My power steering doesn't work (PO disconnected it due to noise)
I do not have a thermostat either.
    The turbo manifold is cracked

    Questions:
    1. Where do I buy turbo manifold?
    2. What will I HAVE to replace as I dissassemble it to replace the pistonrings?
    3. Any tips for upgrades while I'm at it?

The car is supposed to be my daily driver, and I'm only 19, and have had my licence for less then one year, so chances are that I'm going to park it up a tree if I get to crazy.

Steam clean, or some other form of cleaning method then start to track down the oil leaks...

*bangs head repeatedly on the desk*

I even have a steam cleaner. How did I not think of that.

      Thanks, man.

well if your replacing the oil rings you might as well rebuild the whole bottom end if you dont wanna mess with the head.

an m42 turbo manifold for an e30 is not going to be something you can just run out and buy, unfortunately.

have the one you've got welded, and then reinforced so it doesn't happen again.

              It's welded like 15 times.
              But I found a new one :)

really. i'm curious where? i picked one up from a board user here, so i'm not looking for myself. anyway, i know there is someone making M42 turbo manis for the e36, but i've never seen someone use them on an e30.
