    WEIRD issue with cyl 3

So yesterday my car wouldnt start, nor crank. couldnt roll it into a start either. after that i figured it was the engine that was flooded. At first i thought it was with fuel, because my #3 cyl will foul a spark plug 2x faster than any other cyl. When i opened it, my spark plug was wet, but by water.

This is the weird part: my cyl only floods when i am at a upwards angle. I removed the spark plug last night when my car was in a downward angle and removed the coolant mix, and this morning it was fine.

I have no coolant in my oil, nor any oil in my coolant.

I have been 'loosing' water this whole year in this car, but there never was a puddle, leak, or mixture of any kind. I guess i found it actually leaks into the cyl somehow and evaporates when running.

My car doesnt usually run hot, then again i dont drive it very often, if not far, nor in traffic.

My biggest concern is what exactly is wrong with the engine itself. cracked block? cracked head? busted head gasket? anyone else come accross this type of issue?

I will repair it all myself, if not save up while the engine is gimping and build another engine up. if its a ls1, SBC, m5x, m20, or another m4x. I am lost in this matter.

It might be a cracked head but I doubt it given the angle issue. Do you still have the TB preheater BS on the car? If you do have a leak there it may be getting into the intake manifold and running down into cylinder 3 when at an angle.

but why not cyl 4 that is furthest back? could there be a crack in the one head gasket?

when i opened the water tank to add more water before i found this issue, you can hear it depressurizing.

If its hot you'll always hear it depressurizing. If its coming from the TB heater it may be just running into cylinder 3 since its the first runoff place for it to go. Take the TB off and look in the manifold. You can also put some dye in the coolant that will allow you to track any leaks even after its dried up.

Could very well be a crack in the head of the number 3. Same thing happened to my car, ran for a ridiculously long time with it like that (several thousand miles) until the head gasket finally took a dump.

Bars Leak makes a great stop leak now that they say even stops head gasket leaks. I'd give it a shot, can't hurt anything.
