    complete salvage M42 costs?

what kinds of real-world prices are u guys buying replacement M42's for? I found a few salvage yard 100K motors. One 120K for $750, another 180K for $600? sound right? this is, of course, before haggling and negotiating price.these do come with a 90day warranty, lol.joe silva

That seems like a decent price, but I'm sure you could find one for way cheaper from someone on here or bimmerforums who is doing a swap. M42's arent exactly in high demand.

    I sold a 135k mile motor recently for $350.

of course you can gt a car for nearly that price, watch craigs list

bought a 91 wrecked 318is. good engine, and tranny..130k ( no title, too much to repair)
put the basekt weaves on my car, lots of odds and ends, put engine and tranny in the storage for future rebuild and swap out, , have a nice "is" trunk lid to repaint and install on mine and tons of spares
sold sport interior, bumpers, and misc parts for more than what I paid for the whole car...$500

watch craigs list, there out there
