    screeching noise and smell

So I just finished up replacing my vacuum lines today started my car up and it ran fine for a few minutes, it idled a lot better than it had been but then everything went wrong... :( Car died then upon trying to restart it i had to apply gas to keep it from dying and it would make a loud screeching sound which i figured cant be good and i would smell something coming from the front of the car, it dies after i let my foot of the gas.

    any helpful information?

    Year make and model?

Were you replacing lines with blue ones from autozone? Don't do that.

Did ya maybe drop something into the belts? You did something. Are you missing any tools perhaps? Check the belts, they seem un-happy.

      edit

just tried it again runs fine when gas is held down but then dies if i let off, no squeeling this time but i still smell fuel could it have to do with injectors? maybe i knocked something loose moving the manifold around replacing the vacuum lines. I also noticed a hissing noise i double checked everything before replacing the manifold maybe im just an idiot
