    poly mounts vs e28

Just trying to get a little imput from people with the poly mounts to see how bad the vibration in the cab is at idle... it's pretty noticable with the e28 ones at start up but after running for about a minute the vibration pretty much goes away. wondering if its a lot worse with poly/solid mounts.

Scored a good deal on poly engine and transmission mounts not too long ago. After putting them in though, I can't say I'm totally happy.

Lots of vibration, lots of noise. This was to be expected of coarse but I'm probably going back to all stock.

Really just got the poly ones as a motor mount cracked and transmission mounts were on their way out.

I'd go solid rubber mounts. Poly is stiff as hell and WILL translate a LOT into the cabin area. If you're like me, that leads to ridiculous ammounts of, "What was that vibration? Did you hear that noise? I wonder if something broke..." moments. I had Poly's on my '88 325iS and HATED for that very reason. Much prefer the solid rubber mounts. Street is street, track is track ;)
