Blown Headgasket

So I finally found the source of the overheating issue that I have been having. I took the car to the shop and they found emissions in the cooling system. :-(

This was my daily driver so unfortunately I can't really keep this thing around as a project and I really don't have the time to do a headgasket replacement myself. As I see it my only option is to sell the car as is.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I would love to swap in an M50 but I just don't think I have the time to really do it right.

In the M42 section, one would only assume a 1991.

You don't have time to do a head gasket replacement? It's an afternoon job with a friend.

You should be able to do the headgasket in one day. Or just get another motor from a wreck.

If your car has an M20 engine, the head gasket is not as hard as some other engines. If you really don't want to work on it, call TNG Automotive in La Cracenta, or E30 Motorwerks in Huntington Beach for an estimate. They can most likely do it cheaper and better than a general-purpose mechanic in your neighborhood, and they both have great reputations in the E30 community.
