    Slight Idle irregularity.

Since i bought my boat, it had a problem that did'nt disappear with the head rebuilding, When it is warm, the idle has some tiny variations.

This problem only produces when it is warm and it is slightly annoying.

The car was connected to the pc and the o2 sensor was pointed as guilty for an slight instant, but it could be the idle valve. So i am a bit clueless about this problem and i could use a little bit of help.

The m42's tend to have a lot of vac hoses start to crack over the years. Under the intake runner/ manifold is where those hoses are.

But before replacing hoses you can try to disconnect your Idle control valve(icv) and cleaning it with some electric cleaner, or whatever you choose.

    that MAY help.. cant hurt.

if you have the time and effort, i think you should go about doing this

I have already replace all the hoses under the manifold, they were all cracked.

I believe the were called the ''octopus hoses''.

When the head was taken off, all the components attached to the head were cleaned and replace, if so was necessary.

ICV or AFM possibly? OR, check under your wiring panel (right under the windshield) and see if there's a wire that pokes out. Is it plugged in? Unplug it. It's the "run like shit" wires.

They are for the CAT or non-CAT versions of the m42 (US spec upos to EU spec cars).
          Need a part? PM me.

I am gonna check it, but my AFM seems to be fine as the car pulls great.

Check the "run-like-shit" wires. I'll try and find the diagram that points it out so you have more of an idea of what I'm talking about.
