Need to change 5spd trans. Clutch upgrade??

So I'm gonna be changing the 5spd trans on the m42 due to bad 2nd gear. So I figured the clutch is also in order. Whats the deal w/ the m2 single mass fly wheel etc??? What clutch kit should I go with??

If you have the funds, find an M20 single mass flywheel, M20 clutch kit, M20 starter or just the starter pinion, and a 323i e21 throwout bearing.

I'd say an M20 swap would be in order. It's a good enough upgrade for the M42, more surface area on the face of the flywheel if thats what you're looking for - a larger contact patch.

It's also a very worthwhile upgrade in the first place.
