ur going to rebuild an engine thats practically new? what do you plan on doing to the engine? just a stock rebuild? or like a prep for turbo and what not?

Prep for turbo. Unless theyrs a fairly cheaper way to get power w.o turboing. And not just headers, chip and intake.

What turbo set-up are you going to use? You shouldn't need to rebuild the engine to prepare it for a turbo. And unless you're going to really be boosting the hell out of it, the stock internals should be OK.

How much experience do you have with rebuilding engines?
It would seem to me that if you were capable to undertake the task yourself, you wouldn't be asking what parts you need to do it.

              huh?....

why not swap? for the price of rebuild and turbo you'll be cheaper and likely less technical skills required.

if you can make manifolds and get parts cheap, you should put together kits and sell em, make some moo-lah

Mine has 175K, I just replaced the head gasket, bolts and new seals throughout and it runs 9.5 psi with no issues.

55k after rebuild, pulls 11.5psi all day with ms1. LOL at the boat anchor comment, I prefer my m42 car over any of my m20 ones (preboost included).

Is the engine having issues and that's why you want to rebuild? At most I would rebuild just the head and go ahead and do studs.
