How can you tell if is bad? Because leaving my car idle for a long time the rpm needle jump any where from 1k and under and some other days car idle fine. I'm for sure there's no vac leak.

I too would like to know. Gonna hit mine with a hammer next time to see if the valve is sticking -

If you're sure about the vacuum and you see no cracks in intake boot immajackup might be right
