    Oh i see what your saying. i kinda did that w/ mine. i took a peice of exhaust tubing which had a bend in it and used that to place the filter on top of the abs module. Ill post a pic of it in a sec.

    i ment only because i want something closer to the grills and farther from the engine and with a cone filter the size and shape dosent allow that

    I use to use my Kamotor CAI.. i put my stock air box in. cuz..
    1)no carb sticker
    2)not really much of a difference in speed
    3)exhaust is already loud.. dont really need it louder..

    But I loved it when I had my head beam out & i auto x'ed with 19lb injectors

    I ran a giant cone filter with a good heatshield for awhile. Didn't notice a performance gain, but it sounded good and dropped my intake temps by a little more than 10 degrees on average. I'm running megasquirt, though, so I didn't have use for the AFM.

    guess he didn't follow direction. after oiling the filter i put a towel under it and let the extra oil drain out.
