    Where can I get a oem Mahle paper filter??? I can only find them for the m10. I have a 1991 318is with m42 THANKS PM ME

    Your not gonna get anymore performance than the stock box no matter what you do. Your best bet is a K&N panel filter in you airbox

    I have a Aem dry flo filter its better than K&N...heat sheild, with drivers highbeam removed. works for me, and sounds good, although i cant hear it over the exhaust anymore. lol

    Like all have said. The sound is nice but there needs to be an addition of an airbox. Unless you buy one pre made it is kind of a pain to make decent looking and functional box. Here is what I am putting together now. Mocked it up with cardboard and then going to cut some aluminum and then weld it together and paint with some paint that has heat shielding properties.

    I'm running Megasquirt, which has an intake air temp sensor. Mine is mounted basically right in front of the throttle body.
