    m40 lifter noise...

hi just wondering if other people have sticky lifters in their m40's as well.
this is the second 318i i've owned both get sticky lifters, the first m40 had an expensive head rebuild and still had noisy lifters.
i service the car between 4'000 and 5'000 kms so lack of oil change isn't the issue.

so do other guys find the same problem and if so how can i make it stop!
    thanks in advance

Ya can't, it's an M40. Mine, knock on wood, isn't that loud at all. I will drive it till it gets too loud, then get rid of it.

eh...2jz would be a better option..and less oil pump failures..easier to find parts..etc.

That being the case, it will probably never die. I pray for mine to go everyday, so I have a good excuse to pickup another E30...but I know it will continue to run and run and run.....
