    Wierd sputtering/bucking?

I went around a corner this morning and downshifted, when I went to rev match and accelerate I noticed the car felt like it had a slipping clutch. I tried accelerating again only to have the same bucking/lack of go. So I pulled over and noticed that at idle it surges off and on, and has a noticeably "lopey" idle, and when you take off it sounds exactly like a Suby.It does not have a classic missing on a cylinder feel or sound though. I have found that once up to some speed, if I stay out of the throttle and just lightly cruise, it seems to smooth out some, but as soon as I crack the throttle at all it surges and bucks badly. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

+1. This started happening to me on the way back from the AbeBQ. I was getting a CEL every time I'd lose power, the stomp test revealed an AFM issue.

Oh, and my MPG needle would drop to zero as well.

Well, Ive done the stomp test, and it's still throwing no codes. I found a slight crack in a vacuum hose that when I taped up helped the idle some, and made it a little more driveable. I'm afraid that it might be a vacuum leak on the molded line that runs under the intake manifold. Does anyone know the part number to this? I can't find anyone else with an m42 engine around that I can swap AFM's with either, can anyone help me with a voltage range I should be looking for on it? I've searched but came up empty

Well, I solved my mystery issue, hopefully what I found can help someone else out. I had happened to degrease/ wash my motor a while back, and apparently some water got into a spark plug cylinder by going under the boot. It had nowhere to go, and was making it intermittently miss and idle funny. Swabbed the cylinder out real good and she runs like a top.
