A/C turning on randomly, switch ineffective.

Ok so I just had my A/C serviced about a month ago. Runs great, but sometimes if I hit a bump or come out of a steep driveway it will kick on at random. It's starting to piss me off, because it will alternate on/off and my idle will bounce and the car will stutter..

I went over all the wires down there, and they seem to be fine. However, my A/C switch (the snowflake button, not the recirculate button) does not work sometimes when I press it, but other times it kicks right on like a daisy. Also, the light inside the snowflake button does not work. Could this whole fiasco be caused by a faulty A/C button? Wouldn't the recirculate button be affected as well?

This has happened since I bought the car, but I have not used A/C as much because 1) I like to look like a G with my windows down. 2) Saves money on gas. 3) Feels like I'm driving a paraplegic when the A/C is on.

Anyway, any help with this would be much appreciated.. and I'm hoping it's just the switch! No other electrical problems in the car whatsoever.

Its not just the wires "down there" but any wire in the whole front half of the car that operates the AC system. However I would bet its the contacts in the snowflake portion of the switch, which have no relation to the recirculate portion. Unhook the switch, drive over some bumps and see it the AC still comes on.

Replaced the switch, still having this problem. Will not always turn on with the switch, but sometimes it will.. could it be a relay or is that part of the switch?
