Help!! My 318i feels underpowered. :(

Okay, so this might be in the wrong place but there wasn't a M40 category.

But anyhow, I seriously feel that my car is underpowered. When I rev it, the car feels heavy. I think there's a problem. I don't know what the problem is, though. It sounds it too! Oh, and it's like my fan is too strong.

I'll attach videos of me revving it from the engine bay and also an exhaust note. It doesn't sound like the other E30's here. :(

Hopefully you guys will be able to tell me what the problem is and I'll get it fixed!

Sounds fine. You might need a valve adjustment.

Your car will always be slow as long as that m40 is in there.

      Do m40s have hydraulic lifters?

Your missing a cam that is the problem .

My partner has a E36 318i with the M40 they are just slow end of story sorry that is no help but its the truth. You could chip it, use an electric fan and maybe some headers but that would still be lacking power.
