    M42 into 2002

Has anyone completed it successfully ? What was involved? How did the car go ? I am looking to make a track car and will have a left over broken M42 when i transplant another into my 318is, i will try to fix the broken one and would like to use it in a car for track/hill climbs.

A m42 will not go into a 2002 with out alot of subframe cutting and welding, although I think it will fit into a e21. Good Luck

How hard was it to drop the s14 in? Nevermind the cost factor of the engine itself i mean just with fab.

That should give you some food for thought. Not a lot of pics, but helpful none the less. Would be a fun ride. Fitting a 6 in that car must be god awfully hard.

and for once, I'll argue against that swap (i6) because of the weight factor. There are limits imho...

Man... the more i think of it the more that sounds like a sweet ass ride. A 2.5L S14 in a little 2002... now that would be something to see.

Terry's wife Debbie has a Baur 2002 with a S14 in it. The writeup is on the site somewhere.

I've driven it. Pretty damn quick.
