Fuel Tank Breather Valve routing help

As stated in the title, I was hoping to find some guidance as to how the hoses for the Fuel Tank Breather Valve should be routed. I found a couple of diagrams on realoem, and bmwfans which do help, unfortunately however, it's not enough. So now I'm here. The vehicle in question, just to be clear, is a '91 318is with the m42b18 engine.

Here is the diagram showing what exactly I'm on about

In this diagram it is hose #2 that I am confused about, clearly one end attaches to the Valve itself, but where does the other end go? The nipple on the underside of the Throttle Body? And does it involve the piece labeled 6-RS?

I am currently amidst fixing the unfortunately well-known "mess under the intake" and I can't really move on with it until I figure this out.

Thanks a lot for any help/direction on this!

Figured this out, unfortunately only to be presented with another problem; the smell of fuel and a small drip from the area the fuel filter resides...not cool.

i hope this helps ... its my red hose that goes on the left side of the TB and it goes to #1 on your diagram that connects to #5 on your diagram which would be if your looking down on your engine like in my pic its the left "pipe" on the canister and the right "pipe" connects down by where the fuel lines are... the pic in your diagram looks like if its for a M20.... if you say you smell gas and drip of fuel i would check your lines on the filter side and on the fuel rail side as i had the same problem and i just tightend the rubber lines on the fuel rail and my drip and smell went away and further away when i replace my vac lines with silicone and my fuel lines with a more hi performance meaning stiffer
