    If you want to keep the M42 and get some serious power, get the E36 M42 and the DASC.

    why..? don't ask. i haven't been this enthusiastic about my car since i bought my first car and i would rather stroke it to get a bit more power while still maintaing the nimble feeling that i get.

    m44? is that the swap that you had been talking about? been reading about the 320is's that were marketed in italy. 190bhp outa 2.0 would definately set this car off. i have a newly acuiered '91 318i by the way. thanks for the responses!

    The M44 had a 2.1L stroker kit. The company name escapes me right now, but there were strokers for the 4 cylinders at least. ;)
