URGENT: It Cranks but Doesn't Start...

    Hey all..

I had a no start issue two weeks ago with my vert 91 318i and I got it running by punching on top of the fuel pump. So I replaced the fuel pump and she was running beautiful for two weeks.

But yesterday I went to start it, but it just cranks and doesn't start. I hear the fuel pump working when I crank it. I assume ECU and CPS are working, because the fuel pump runs. However I don't see a spark (maybe it's hard to see in a daylight).

I've checked it with a scan tool and it throws out "Fuel Injectors (1,3)".
Will this cause no start problem?

UPDATE: Checked for a spark at night and there is no spark. What's causing no spark issue, CPS or Main Relay? But how come the fuel pump is working if those are bad?

Check the engine ground strap between the front rightish corner of the engine and the body for corrosion.

Thanks Ryann. It looks like I only get spark from one of the coils, other three doesn't work.
Maybe the coils are bad or CPS is acting up or the ECU has fried (stop test doesn't work but it used to work before).

UPDATE: I have replaced the ECU and it started right up. But it doesn't hold idle, it just dies after minute or so. I've also put the old ECU back on and it started up again.

I unplugged the ICV and it seems to run little better now, but still the same problem.
What might be causing this any idea?

Vacuum leak? Check all vacuum hoses.
Try to change AFM, see if it makes difference.
            Clean icv.

Also, remove and clean crank sensor with clean cloth. Do this first and try cranking. Sounds like something simple.

CPS has been checked and it works well. I never had this idle problem before the no start problem :(

All the hoses are replaced. It runs a little better without the ICV, I took it for a drive it pulls strong.
