    Relocating ICV?

Doing the mess under intake, and it seems that with non-stock hose, it would be easier for the ICV to be somewhere other than bolted to the firewall side of the intake manifold. The tubing I'm using (5/8 reinforced heater hose, the stiff kind) makes it hard to fit in the stock position because it's not preformed in those nice little bends.

I know some people have relocated their ICV when doing the mess, but is there a good place to secure it? I don't want it just floating around in the engine bay. Any suggestions, or should I just suck it up and put it where it belongs?

I used brass 90deg fittings and hose clamps.

Well it's more behind the intake manifold, but yes.

Look through my user gallery and there's probably a photo.

Thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for. I did almost exactly the same thing, with stock tubing from manifold to ICV and heater hose with 90 degrees from ICV to intake boot. When I tried to bracket it up it wouldn't align properly with everything plugged in, though. Guess I've just got to keep messing with it.

EDIT: by the way, your engine bay looks the way I dream mine one day will. Great work!

            use a regular 5/8 hose.
