Much worse ticking after taking off crank bolt (video)

As some of you know, I was planning on doing a timing job on my 318i. Very pointy teeth. I got as far as taking off the crank bolt (locked the flywheel and broke it with a breaker bar), then I got stuck getting the water pump out and didn't have time to mess with any more so decided to button everything back up and try again next weekend.

I had noticed that when I had the flywheel locked at TDC, the cams weren't at TDC. Off by a few degrees. I was planning on correcting this when I put on the new sprockets and chain, but of course I never got that far. Now I've got a bad tick coming from the valve train. It wasn't really noticeable before, but now it's prominent. The frequency of the tick matches RPMs. Obviously, I need to fix the timing. The question is, will I damage the car if I drive it like this for a week? I don't want to make things worse (again).

Working...
