engine shut off while driving

Hey guys, i was driving my 91 bmw 318ic today
and it decided to shut off on a stop!!
Idk what it can be?!
And im trying to get it on but it dosent turn on.
What can it be ?

Two things could be the main culprit here. Crank position sensor and fuel pump or fuel filter. Replace your fuel filter and check the resistance between pins 1 and 2 on you CPS and report back.
