    one piece driveshaft for 91 318is

    hey i was wondering if i could just have a 1 piece driveshaft made out of the stock 2 piece driveshaft? or would there be any problems with that?

    First off, why?

    Second, the reason it is two piece is it needs a support in the middle due to how long it is. If you made it one piece, you would have to increase the tubing diameter or the thing would "whip" at higher speeds, kink, lock the rear wheels and off the road you go.

    Happened to a friend a few years back in his e21 that he rotary swapped.

            ahh i see, i found a good used front driveshaft so i guess ill be sticking with 2 piece haha
