so i just bought a chip from another member on the forum and when i got it it was a different ecu. i tried it anyway car started right up but had less power. so i opened up and who would know it, it said turner chip e36 318. my question is can i put that chip in my e30 ecu?

No you cannot...e30 is motronic 1.7 and e36 is 1.7.2www.classicdaily.net
