M42 engine guides? reading material

I was wondering if theres anything like the Bentley manual for m42s?
Gonna be puling my intake manifold off to re install some coolant hoses and some other maintenance. But I really would love something I can read and use to trouble shoot with while on the job rather then running back to the computer and searching the forum.

Ok cool! thanks! I was reading that the haynes manual thing was good on the engine but it really didn't look too in depth.

I have the Chilton repair manual and its pretty crappy! I don't even know where I put it.... Hopefully in the trash. I have read where you can download a Bentley manual for just the M42 motor somewhere. I think it was on M42vlub try google Bentley M42 download

Yes, you should still be able to download the E36 Bentely manual from M42club, IIRC the one that still worked was the written for people in the UK, but works fine if you know their terms for automotive components.

For the sake of your sanity only use your Haynes and Chilton manuals as anything other than a book for actual information!!! You know, fire starting materiel, coasters, paper mache.

The File location was down I went ahead and bought a E36 Bentley manual, useful enough with it covered smal things like early intake manifold but ill live.

Yeah I downloaded that pdf and I honestly have nothing good to say about it :curse:
