So I bought a pretty nice little Euro 316i( I am stationed in Italy). It has the M40 1.6L motor in it, and I am wanting to do a swap. Something reliable nothing I am going to race a round in, and until them I think I need to replace them cam and maybe even rebuild the head. It ticks pretty bad...but only sometimes... randomly. Advice or anything helpful on either topic would be awesome. I know there is a wealth of knowledge out there. If you suggest a swap...I would like one where I dont have to change out a ton of shit. It has a manual gear box and an oversized radiator already in it. so what would I need and what would be the easiest and cheapest swap, but still good reliability. Open to anything and any advice! Be nice I am new to the BMW E30 club this is only my second one and the first one had "ISSUES".lol
