Mess under intake question - blocking pipe & block

Hi All - I am doing the mess under the intake mod and am trying to figure out if I want to do the cut and twist method of connecting the plastic pipe to the block or if I want to just block them. I'm thinking blocking looks like a good way to go but am unsure as to how folks are blocking them off and what they are using to block them off. Can someone help me out?

If you are talking about blocking the ports on the pipe and head most would use those coolant block off caps that you clamp on. Such as this.
